Research Made Simple: Remote Moderated

Remote moderated research is a research session that takes place online, usually via a video call.

A participant joins from home, work, or wherever is convenient, and a researcher guides the conversation. They might ask questions, show an idea, ask the participant to try something, or listen to their thoughts about a product or service.

The best part is that people can take part without travelling, while still having a real conversation.

In simple terms: itโ€™s a friendly online chat that helps teams understand what people need, like, dislike, and expect.

Disclaimer: These topics may seem fairly basic to those working in market research or UX research. However, I've worked with many people outside who haven't had much exposure to research methods, what they are, or when they're best used. I'm sharing these posts in the hope that they make research a little more accessible.
